Wii Remote + Nunchuk
Wii games run in Dolphin (alongside GameCube), and The Vault maps your controller onto the Wii Remote + Nunchuk's buttons — with in-game save/load hotkeys.

Motion & pointer
The Wii Remote's defining features — motion and the IR pointer — aren't regular pad buttons, so they aren't part of this button map. For pointer-heavy games, Dolphin can drive the pointer from your mouse (or a real Wii Remote via a sensor bar). The map above covers every digitalinput, so a standard pad works for the many Wii games built around Remote+Nunchuk buttons.
Save & load hotkeys
In-game hotkeys follow the same held-modifier concept as every other pad — hold – (Minus), or Create on a DualSense, then press a button. The one difference: a Wii Remote held in Dolphin has no L/R shoulder buttons, so Save and Load use A and B here instead of the usual R and L:
| Combo | Action |
|---|---|
| Minus + A | 💾 Save State |
| Minus + B | 📤 Load State |
| Minus + Plus | Quit to library |
| Minus + ▲ / ▼ | Next / previous slot |
Plus is the Wii Remote's Start button, so Minus + Plus is just the standard “modifier + Start = Quit” combo every other pad uses.
