Mouse & Remote Mode

Not everything is a game. When you launch a Mac app, streaming client, or launcher from The Vault, your controller becomes a TV-remote and mouse so you can navigate without reaching for a keyboard.

Navigation flavors

For grid/carousel UIs (like streaming-app libraries), Remote Mode offers two navigation styles:

  • Arrow — the D-pad sends plain arrow keys.
  • Tab — the D-pad sends Tab bursts to jump between rows/controls, for apps that navigate by focus rather than arrows.

Tuning

The feel is adjustable in Settings:

  • Cursor sensitivity and dead zone for the stick.
  • Scroll speed and natural scrolling direction.
  • Touchpad sensitivity for DualSense cursor drag.

💡 When it's active

Remote Mode engages automatically while a non-game app launched from The Vault is in front, then hands control back to Showcase navigation when you return.
