Sega Dreamcast Controller
Dreamcast games run through RetroArch's Flycast core — and The Vault maps your pad to the Dreamcast controller for you, with in-game save/load hotkeys, at every launch.
Button map
How it works
The Dreamcast controller has a single analog stick, a D-Pad, four face buttons (A/B/X/Y), two analog triggers (L/R) and Start — no Select. The Vault maps your controller to that layout: sticks and D-Pad pass straight through, the analog triggers become your pad's L2/R2, and the face buttons follow the cross-console positions shown above.
Save & load hotkeys
Because the Dreamcast pad has no Select button, in-game hotkeys use your controller's modifier — Create on a DualSense — exactly like the other RetroArch systems:
| Combo | Action |
|---|---|
| Create + R | 💾 Save State |
| Create + L | 📤 Load State |
| Create + Start | Quit to library |
| Create + ▲ / ▼ | Next / previous slot |
